EVERY Stateroom Option on the Disney Magic Cruise Ship
Table Of Content

The a la carte menu emphasizes steaks, with American prime cuts, Australian wagyu and Japanese Kobe and Miyazaki beef you can pair with one of five sauces. If you ask, you can also get a sauce flight to try all of the options with your steak. The Champagne brunch at Enchante is a prix-fixe meal paired with a glass of Champagne, while Just Desserts is a five-course dessert menu served with some of the best coffee on the ship. Of course, no dinner at a New Orleans-themed restaurant on a Disney ship is complete without seeing the Bayou princess herself, Tiana.
Disney Magic Adult Spaces
This adult-only area is reserved to be quiet sanctuary for grownups to escape the kids...err, relax and unwind. Music, games and live entertainment are just a few of the attractions you’ll find here. In our opinion, the Northern Italian menu is worth the premium fee you pay for it. When you top off the delicious kids-free meal with gorgeous seascapes, you have a brunch or dinner to remember. The Disney Magic offers exclusive dining opportunities to fulfill those wishes.

Entertainment on the Disney Magic
Each night on the Disney Magic, a signature entertainment event will be hosted in the Walt Disney Theatre. I tend to spend a lot of time visiting the Beverage Station on Deck 9. As you read this page, refer back to this map of Disney Magic deck plan often to familiarize yourself with the different locations of Disney Magic's attractions.
Home Port
Kids can join in the final celebration and march around the restaurant conga line-style as they wave flags and sing along to "Love is an Open Door" with the dining room service team. On every ship fleetwide, sit-down breakfast and lunch are served in one of the rotational dining restaurants daily. Which restaurant hosts breakfast and which hosts lunch varies by itinerary, and they can be the same venue for each meal or different for breakfast and lunch.
DISNEY MAGIC PORTS OF CALL
Ft., these staterooms sleep 3 (with some sleeping 4), and they are among the first categories to book on the ship. The Oceaneer Club is the place where your kids will likely spend a large amount of their time onboard. It’s a secure facility accessible only to kids aged 3-10 and trained youth activities staff. Inside there are tons of kid-friendly spaces and activities, and it’s all included in the cost of your Disney cruise! This amazing kids club is one of the reasons we consider Disney to be the best cruise line for children. Exclusive to Disney Wonder is Tiana's Place, part of the rotational dining roster on the ship.
How does rotational dining work?
The Magic was joined by her sister ship, the Disney Wonder, in August of 1999. The unexpected upside of this was that I did not feel like I was missing out by ditching the bars for my room, where I could enjoy a glass of wine on my balcony. In the interest of setting realistic expectations, expect pools to look much more like this (or worse) during the heat of the day. The Twist 'n' Spout slide by the AquaLab was the favorite spot for my 7-year-old.
Highlights of the menu include a bacon and mushroom tart, French onion soup, roasted duck breast and creme brulee. I love the Disney Magic, and it ranks number two out of the five ships I’ve sailed on so far. The Disney Wonder is my favorite, and the Disney Magic is a close second. I love the smaller ships, and I’ll be heartbroken if they retire these ships without replacing them with a more intimate-sized cruise ship.
it’s a small world nursery!
The main pool onboard the ship, Goofy’s Pool on deck 9 serves as the family pool onboard. In addition to the large main pool, you’ll also find a couple of whirlpool tubs nearby. The giant FunnelVision video screen and a large stage are nearby, so there’s always something to keep you entertained while swimming.
Pools and Slides on the Disney Magic
A glance around reveals art deco touches and hints of the sea itself, all invoking the early days of seafaring ocean liners. It might be the first Disney Cruise ship, but thanks to continued updates (plus a major refurbishment in 2013), the Disney Magic is still a great ship. Onboard you’ll find spacious guest rooms, ample dining, lots of lively activities and entertainment, and plenty of places to relax and enjoy the open ocean. She has 11 public decks, can accommodate 2,700 passengers in 875 staterooms,[1] and has a crew of approximately 950.

In September 2020, the liner had planned a European (UK and Ireland) season with 7-day roundtrips from homeport Dover visiting Plymouth, Cork, Liverpool, Greenock, Dublin. The 1998-built MS Disney Magic cruise ship is Walt Disney's first (oldest) liner with sistership Disney Wonder (1999). The times and characters available to meet vary, so check the DCL app each day. On select 5-night cruises, Disney Magic hosts Marvel's heroes, like the Avengers and Spiderman. If your child loves Iron Man or Captain America, he or she will love meeting them in person. On July 30, 1998, the Disney Magic made her maiden voyage as the first Disney Cruise Line ship.
In total, there are 875 staterooms on the Disney Magic, about two-thirds of what you’ll find on the newest ship, the Disney Wish. In total, there are 262 Inside Staterooms, and 613 Outside Staterooms (229 with an oceanview, and 384 with a verandah). There are also a variety of 22 suites onboard for a larger living space.
In the morning, enjoy all the expected items – made-to-order omelets, bacon, sausage, Mickey Waffles, and such – along with international offerings that might include Huevos Rancheros, rice, and miso soup. I myself don’t usually include gravlax on my breakfast menu at home, but enjoy it as a nice change on my cruise breakfast plate. And every cruise I look forward to enjoying a giant bowl of fresh muesli with dried fruits and nuts to start my day (alongside a Mickey Waffle or two).
It would also be a real plus if Disney Magic integrated a magical scavenger hunt type of activity that you see on other Disney ships. This would layer in one more thing for the kids to do on a sea day or between other activities. In keeping with the approach on the other original Disney ships, the adult bars and lounges on Disney Magic are largely clustered in the same area dubbed After Hours. My favorite of the three included rotational restaurants is Rapunzel's Royal Table, found only on Disney Magic. Here, you get the unique experience of attending Rapunzel's birthday celebration. Disney Magic has come a long way since its 1998 debut as the first vessel on the Disney cruise line.
Spacious and cozy, the two bedroom suite offers a distinguished, yet comfortable option for those who desire privacy combined with luxury for their Disney Cruise. There is little noticeable difference between other verandah staterooms. While it is the same size, it is enclosed with a very large, open-air porthole to look through.
On Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, "Drawn to Magic" shows off characters going from rough sketches to full-color animations. Depending on which ship you're on, you have the chance to see three different shows inside Animator's Palate. On Disney Magic (on seven-night sailings or longer) and Disney Fantasy, you can draw your own character and, just before dessert, everyone's drawings are animated and come to life on screens near your seat. On our sailing, the cast member who checked us in got an error message when trying to activate our bands. Therefore, we had to go to guest services once onboard to fix the issue.
The Disney Magic is nearly identical in layout to the Disney Wonder, which rolled out in August of 1999. The Concierge Royal Suites have art deco décor, with two bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a verandah, a living room, a dining salon, and more. They can sleep up to seven, making this ideal for larger families or groups. The 1-Bedroom Suite has a separate bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms, a verandah, a living room, and a wet bar, and can sleep up to five. The 2-Bedroom Suite has two separate bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a verandah, a living room, and can sleep up to seven. Finally, the Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom sleeps up to five and also comes with a private verandah.
